The title of the piece Ever Green is a reference to the always green coast live oak tree, as well as a wish for a forever green Oakland. With Ever Green we are memorializing this iconic symbol of the city of Oakland right across the Tribune Tower and two blocks from City Hall. By Taraneh Hemami
